The Tether Kit is a modular, highly transportable system enabling persistent mission support. The Tether Kit offers Continuous Aircraft Operation for R70 & R80D Payload.
Continuous Power to Aircraft and Payloads – Flight durations of 24 hours for continuous mission support.
Rapid Reconfiguration between Flight Modes – Modularity permits conversion between free-flying and tethered modes in minutes.
Support for R70 and Third Party Payloads – Wide range of possible mission set: use either FLIR payloads or your own application-specific payload enabled by the Payload Development Kit (PDK).

The Osprey payload for the SkyRanger R70 and R80D SkyRaider provides a simple, flexible and reliable way to attach and carry almost any object weighing up to 3.5 kg (7.7 lbs). The Osprey kit comes with a variety of mounting brackets to provide a secure restraint for objects of varying sizes. Payload is only available for SkyRanger R70 and R80D SkyRaider. Osprey Features include:
Adaptive Autopilot – Adjusts for variabilities in mass, volume and centre of gravity, avoiding any need to reconfigure the aircraft or change software settings.
A Flying Claw – Transport mission critical equipment or devices, when you need it most
Forward-Facing EO/IR – Provides day/night ISR capability when carrying other payloads and the four downward facing cameras provide visibility to localise the drop site.
The Payload Development Kit (PDK) further extends payload development to end users, enabling the rapid development of other mission-specific payloads. The PDK provides a full set of payload development tools for electrical, mechanical, and software integration. PDK features include:
Supplementary EO/IR Payload – Provides day and night situational awareness when carrying non-optical payloads, and secondary view-angle intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capability.
Secure IP Networking – Leverage the all-digital AES-encrypted network to integrate payload data and controls with a ground station.
Sensor Data + Power from the AirCraft – Removes the need for developers to integrate batteries, GPS or other sensors in their payload by providing access to services onboard the aircraft.
The Unmanned Development Kits (UDK) further extend the SkyRanger platform for end users, enabling complex integrations and rapid development of capabilities to meet tomorrows evolving mission sets. The UDK provides a full set of APIs, electro-mechanical models, tools and development hardware to enable meaningful native integrations and provide capability extension. UDK Features include:
Application Development – Provides partners and integrators access to a full suite of aircraft and payload controls, media and telemetry.
Payload Development – Enables 3rd party integration of sensors and hardware. Access to native aircraft power, telemetry and data pipe to the ground.
MCS Plug-Ins – Applet architecture to customise the FLIR MCS GCS. Create custom buttons and UX elements, display PDK data or render objects as layers on the map.
The Ruxton Packs are designed to provide a comfortable and ergonomic support for field users of tablet computers. The tablet is conveniently located in the zippered pouch close to the body. It is securely attached to the pack by a quick release attached to the back of the tablet with self-adhesive hook and loop. The tablet is stored and transported with the zippered pouch closed. Unzip the pouch, fold down the front of the pack to support the tablet in portrait or landscape.
All three sizes of the Ruxton pack come attached to the comfortable Comox harness. All components are black. However, the front cover of the pack can be removed and replaced with high visibility orange.
Attach additional pouches and holsters to this MOLLE compatible harness. The Comox harness is designed to be comfortable for an entire day of work in the field. It is made from mesh with closed-cell foam strips that ensure good airflow. In addition, the harness is designed to be comfortable when worn under a backpack.

Electronic Log Book (ELB) allows you to track the critical information you need most. View video and telemetry from assets and individuals in the field via the Squad View mobile app, automatically track equipment status, track pilot currency and review flight and mission data all in one secure, flexible cloud application. ELB features include:
Secure Equipment and Personnel Management – Detailed equipment and pilot information, automatically managed and at your fingertips.
Lightweight Situational Awareness Application – Share media and telemetry from your own mobile devices or unmanned systems, while collaborating in real-time.
Full Control of your Data – Securely review entire missions or individual flights. Export that data as needed, while auditing and access management protect your privacy.
